CSIRT teams and their role in security National CSIRT of the Czech Republic (Speakers: Andrea Kropacova, Petra Hochmannova) The increasing number of information and communication technology users and critical services brings the increasing number of security incidents which have an adverse impact on the credibility of electronic services, thus slowing down the development of the digital society. Consequently, cyber security has become one of the priorities of network operators and electronic services providers and also the governments around the world. A certain shift in the perception of cyber security can also be observed in the conception of new organisations which adopt a proactive approach to the protection of the cyber space. Examples of these include the establishment of CERT/CSIRT teams across the world and the efforts to define these teams both in terms of their overall functions, services and cooperation. |
